The latest in the Art Unlocked series. Join Art UK and Compton Verney in exploring artworks from their collection.

About this event
Art Unlocked is an online event series brought to you by Art UK in collaboration with Bloomberg Philanthropies. Each week, different museum and gallery curators and directors from across the UK will deliver a 30-minute talk on selected works from their collection.
For our latest talk, join Art UK and Oli McCall, Curator, at Compton Verney, for an exciting exploration of some notable works from this collection on 7th December 2022, 5:30pm. In this talk you will find out how Compton Verney’s unique mix of collections was assembled, and how they continue to be relevant to our audiences.
Art Unlocked is delivered over Zoom Webinar and can be accessed via the event page once you have registered. There will be a short Q&A session after the talk.
The talk is free but there is the option to donate to Compton Verney alongside your ticket. Any donations are much appreciated and will go towards the restoration of Compton Verney's historic bridge.
About Compton Verney's Collections
Established in 2004 as an independent charity, Compton Verney is one of the leading cultural organisations in the Midlands, with a mission to combine art, nature and creativity through a busy artistic programme. The 18th century mansion houses exhibition spaces for temporary exhibitions and our six unique permanent collections: Neapolitan Art 1600-1800, Northern European Art 1450-1650, Portraits and Miniatures, ancient Chinese ritual vessels, British Folk Art and the Marx-Lambert Collection. Outside the house, visitors can explore 120 acres of Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown designed parkland, teeming with wildlife.
