A fireside chat with some of our 2023 BIMA Awards winners.
About this event

When we announced the 2023 BIMA Awards winners, we celebrated genuinely game-changing pieces of work, but an awards ceremony can only ever show you a snippet of the work that won the award. Underneath there is always a much bigger story to tell on the work that can inspire our industry. Join us on regional roadtrips around the UK for breakfast events where we’ll dig deeper into some of the 2023 award-winning projects and learn about the application process for 2024.
Don't miss out on this intimate chat with some inspiring winners, read up on their case studies and ask them your questions in-person.
Project line up (more to be announced):
  • Brave Bison and MKM Building Supplies on their project 'World first composable commerce with MKM'
  • Imagination and Visa on their project 'Visa Masters of Movement'
Brave Bison is a digital media, marketing and technology company headquartered in London with hubs in Manchester, New York, Cape Town, Bulgaria and Egypt and a globally distributed team across 8 countries. The company’s unique position as both a digital media owner and a marketing and technology partner allows it to own and operate its own channels and communities while providing clients with a comprehensive suite of advertising and technology services to reach digital native audiences. Brave Bison's clients are serviced through four divisions: Brave Bison Performance, Brave Bison Commerce, Brave Bison Media Network and Social Chain.
MKM Building Supplies, the UK’s leading B2B building supplies merchant with over 100 independent branches, approached us with a challenge: building an entirely new commerce platform for its website.
Project: We brought together a combination of MACH-certified independent software vendors (ISVs) including a commerce platform, frontend-as-a-service, and content management and personalisation solutions formed a headless MACH architecture.
This custom-built composable architecture allowed us to migrate MKM to BigCommerce in rapid time without compromising on business identity or user experience. What’s more, we were able to reduce costs and risks of system dependency while unlocking opportunities within new channels.
Imagination is an Experience Design Company headquartered in London, with 13 studios
worldwide. Founded over 50 years ago on a principle of Independent Creativity - we bring
together diverse groups of strategic, creative and practical people to find creative and inspired
answers to client challenges. We remain independent to this day.
We have earned a reputation for consistently challenging and changing the status quo, through our core offers of Consulting, Destinations, Content and Live. Imagination’s clients include Visa, LG, Ford, IKEA, LVMH, Samsung, Jaguar Land Rover, Major League Baseball, Turkish Airlines, Harley-Davidson and Telstra.
Project: With all eyes on Qatar for the first FIFA World Cup in the Middle East, Visa wanted to use their sponsorship of the tournament to demonstrate that the brand is much more than just a credit card. Visa’s global campaign around the tournament was ‘For Fans Everywhere’, and the brief was to create an innovative, accessible experience for the FIFA Fan Festival in Doha that enabled participation for all.
The Visa network enables the seamless movement of money across the world, just like the best football players move on the pitch. Visa Masters of Movement brought this to life through an incredible fusion of football, art and technology.
