Join us in person for a talk on ‘How to Price your Artwork’, with art advisor, gallerist and curator Claudia Kennaugh, founder of Art & People – part of the Bow Skills artist development programme.

Pricing your artwork can be a real stumbling block – but it needn't be! Art & People want to help you understand your worth and figure out how to price your work confidently and consistently. During this talk, we will explore:

Getting comfortable with pricing your artwork
A 4-step guide to establishing or re-assessing your prices
Accommodating sales commission, discounts & tax
Pricing commission-based work
With plenty of other practical tips to take away!
Art & People want to demystify this taboo subject and open up the conversation with the Bow Arts community – so bring your questions as we’ll have lots of time for Q&A!

The event will take place outdoors in Bow Arts' courtyard (under cover from the elements), with COVID-19 safety measures in place. You can read our COVID-19 access statement here.

About Art & People

Art & People is a Bristol-based art advisory service offering guidance to artists and collectors.

Art & People founder, Claudia Kennaugh, has worked in the arts for over 15 years. First as a musician and performing artist, then gallery manager, art advisor and partner of the Hollywood Road Gallery, London. Claudia has nurtured the careers of many artists over the years, curated countless fairs & exhibitions and helped collectors UK-wide to buy, frame and hang art in their homes. Her empathetic understanding of what it takes to live off your art, and inside knowledge of the industry are a rare combination. By coaching artists with their professional development to guiding collectors towards art they love, Claudia encourages everyone to live in harmony with art.

‘‘Artists are often on the back foot due to a lack of knowledge and support. I want to change that.’’ - Claudia Kennaugh
