Join David Nicholls, author of the much-loved One Day and You Are Here, for a special livestreamed event.

It is 15 years since One Day was first published. This romantic comedy about a radical working class girl from Leeds and a posh-ish boy from the Cotswolds, told over 20 years, became a word-of-mouth success and won over every person who read it. Now, the success of a Netflix adaptation of the novel has introduced it to a new generation of readers, and sent it back into the bestseller lists. Meanwhile, Nicholls’s new novel, You Are Here, a funny and heartfelt love story of first encounters, second chances and finding the way home, has become an instant hit.
Nicholls will join us for a wide-ranging conversation about his career so far, which also includes the novels Us, Sweet Sorrow and Starter For Ten. He is also an acclaimed screenwriter: his adaptation of Edward St Aubyn’s Patrick Melrose novels received an Emmy nomination and won a BAFTA. He will be talking to literary critic Alex Clark about his writing and his inspirations, and will also be answering your questions.
