Organised by the Design Museum

Join a one-day workshop with photographer and filmmaker Anna Fearon, where you will play with colour and movement to create your own photoshoot. You will then make a zine out of your creations.
Suitable for young people aged 11– 14.

What to expect
Come and explore colour and movement and see how we interact with objects and design in playful ways. Combining digital and analogue techniques, you will create colourful visual worlds using handmade props and objects from our handling collection.
Draw inspiration from editorials, creative set design and motion sequences by photographers such as Edward Muybridge. You will turn your photography outcomes into playful zines inspired by Kenzo Zine by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari.
What you will learn:

  • Drawing and colour composition
  • Fundamentals of editorial photography
  • Prop design and making
  • Collage and zine-making
Please note that all equipment, materials and light refreshments will be provided for the duration of the session, but you must bring a packed lunch.
