Religious extremist insurgency has raged in northern Nigeria for almost a decade at a terrible human cost. Inspired by the two Fulani milkmaids on the Nigerian banknote, writer-director Desmond Ovbiagele uses cinema to give a voice to the voiceless. Cast and crew faced considerable danger in order to shoot this visually striking, sensitive and unflinching drama set amid the stunning landscape of north-eastern Nigeria.
