Join us to celebrate Lunar New Year with an exciting day full of colour, creativity and music.
The day will begin with a traditional Lion Dance on Hampstead High Street, before moving to Burgh House for fun craft activities, and finally finishing at the British Library with dance performances, music, storytelling and illustration workshops. You will also have a chance to meet a curator of the Chinese and Britain exhibition, exploring British Chinese communities and culture.

Programme:
11.00 – 12.30 (Burgh House)
Opening Lion Dance parade on Hampstead High Street, followed by family activities at Burgh House including; calligraphy, Hanfu dress-up station, illustration workshop (part 1) with children’s picture book illustrator Yu Rong and rabbit clay making.
12.30 – 14.00 (Lunch Break)
We’ll travel to the British Library where there will be space in our Learning Centre for families to rest and eat before all the celebrations and excitement resumes. There are a limited number of packed lunches that can be bought when you book your space and picked up at Burgh House, or else feel free to bring your own.
14.00 – 15.30 (British Library)
SiShu Chinese School performances and storytelling, knotted jewellery making with Burgh House, illustration workshop (part 2) with children’s picture book illustrator Yu Rong and ‘meet the curator’ sessions.
