Want to play virtual reality games and learn how to design them?

The workshop aims to provide hands-on experience with Virtual Reality (VR) technology, utilizing Meta Quest3 headsets. Participants will engage with PlayCanvas, a browser-based game development platform, gaining insights into editing virtual game environments, teamwork, and the overall game development process. The course unfolds in a carefully structured manner, ensuring participants understand the technical limitations and how to navigate them.

Young people will learn how to navigate custom virtual environments. Divided into rooms, such as an obstacle course and a haunted house, each participant experiences a unique instance of this environment. The session is designed to introduce attendees gradually to the complexities of game development, starting with basic navigation and progressing to designing their own virtual reality experiences.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Have fun experiencing virtual reality and playing interactive games
Explore your creative side and learn how to design your own virtual reality environment in a relaxed setting
Collaborate with experienced tutors and fellow young creatives to design a haunted house virtual reality experience
What do I get by taking part?

Experience in editing virtual game environments
Teamwork skills through collaborative design planning
Insight into the commercial game development process
