Tired of private renting? Start a Housing Cooperative! - no more landlords, no more extortionate rents, no more housing precarity

About this event
Private renting is a god damn shit-show. Rents are suffocating. Landlords are profit sucking vampires and house prices are astronomic.
Housing co-operatives offer a solution to all these problems. They are a type of rented housing where there are no landlords, tenants control the rents and the house is removed from the speculative housing market forever.
In this 3 part series you will learn how we started a housing cooperative.
  • Session 1 covers an overview of the 10 steps needed to buy and move into a housing cooperative and Caleb’s best advice to achieve success
  • Session 2 will be a space to dive deeper into step 1 - Finding a group and working together.
  • Session 3 we will answer the question on everybody’s lips - What about the money? We will look at how to make a financial plan for a housing cooperative and how to raise money.
