We are living in such challenging and uncertain times - what might it take to make us feel happier and more trusting about what lies ahead?

Can we discover a more effective system that will prioritise our real security needs? One that focuses on nuclear disarmament, protects our environment and creates more humanitarian jobs?

In this conversation Dr Reb Eleanor Johnson, Extinction Rebellion campaigner and President of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), explores ways in which we might dismantle today's interconnected issues on both a personal and political level.

Join this discussion about designing a societal structure that will see us heading into a more sustainable and secure tomorrow.

Dr Reb Eleanor Johnson is a feminist, environmental and peace activist, director of Acronym Institute for Disarmament Diplomacy and founding president of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN, 2017 Nobel Peace Laureate). She lived five years at Greenham Women's Peace Camp (1980s), was imprisoned for nonviolently campaigning against apartheid and nuclear weapons, organised feminist-humanitarian campaigns opposing wars and violence against women, and strategised for humanitarian disarmament and peace-building with governments and civil society, including the UN's 2017 Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. Publications include Disarmament Diplomacy, Unfinished Business, Trident and International Law: see www.acronym.org.uk and OpenDemocracy.
