Remember that Blue Planet II episode when we were all horrified by those scenes of turtles getting caught up in plastic sacks, seabirds regurgitating plastic debris and albatross parents feeding plastic to their chicks?

Plastic pollution is one of the most pressing environmental concerns of our time and it is continuing to rise.

For event organisers, plastic has long been the go-to material for the likes of signage, serveware, barware, merchandise and stationary – all for the sake of convenience - and the pandemic is likely to mean a return to some of the single use plastic items that we thought we had banished.

This Ask Me Anything session is for anyone who comes across plastics in their work or home life.

If you are interested in understanding what plastics are, how to reduce them and what are the alternatives to using them, then join us on 14 July in the Green Room for this #PlasticFreeJuly special, at https://forum.legacy-events.com/t/im-an-expert-on-plastics-ama/262
