This summer, award-winning author Kate Atkinson returns with a new Jackson Brodie novel, Death at the Sign of the Rook.

Marooned overnight by a snowstorm in a grand country house are a cast of characters and a setting that even Agatha Christie might recognise – a vicar, an army major, a dowager, a sleuth and his sidekick. And the sleuth in question is former detective, Jackson Brodie. His investigation into a stolen painting uncovers a string of unsolved cases. Are they connected, or just coincidence?
This brilliantly inventive new murder mystery pays homage to the masters of the genre and is the latest addition to Atkinson’s bestselling crime novels featuring Brodie. Join her for this special livestreamed conversation with literary critic Alex Clark, when she will discuss her much-loved detective, the enduring appeal of the murder mystery genre and more. She will also be answering your questions.

If you miss this live event, a recording will be sent to you. It will be available for two weeks so you can catch-up or revisit the event in your own time.
