Exploring the legacy of pioneering Italian designer Enzo Mari, this event is the second in a series of discussions with contemporary designers, makers and curators influenced by Mari’s approach.

What to expect
This event is in dialogue with the exhibition Enzo Mari curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist with Francesca Giacomelli, and the accompanying free display Grazie Enzo: Contemporary Responses to Enzo Mari, which both which celebrate the life and work of the iconic artist, thinker, writer and educator.
A communist and activist, Enzo Mari continually questioned dominant social, industrial and commercial systems and values.
Designers Kim Colin of Industrial Facility, Martino Gamper and Andu Masebo meet the Conran Foundation Chief Curator at the Design Museum, Johanna Agerman Ross to discuss the enduring influence of Mari on their work and thinking. Exploring their shared interests in interrogating materials, multifunctionality, utility and utopia, they consider why Mari remains so relevant.
