Open call to all final year Visual Communications students
New Designers is delighted to announce that this year The Screening Award is being supported by the Aardman Academy.
Established in 2013 to strengthen ties between the industry and education, the Aardman Academy plays an important role in nurturing creativity and supporting the studio’s talent outreach programme.
To demonstrate its continual support and recognition of the importance of digital media, the academy is sponsoring New Designers’ Screening Award. The award seeks to recognise and showcase a selection of work embracing film, TV, video, moving image, gaming, digital media and animation. The award is open to all final year students in Visual Communications across the UK.
We encourage short film, moving image, digital media and gaming submissions of all types including narrative and experimental, live action and animation, fiction and documentary. You may submit your final year project or any other projects you have produced.
Aardman Academy are offering course credit at its own institution worth £300 to support to the award-winner in developing their career in digital media.
A panel of experts from the Aardman Academy will view the films submitted with the winner being announced on Friday 14 August.
Submit your entries online by Friday 24 July (23:59) through our website.
• Entries can be made by any Visual Communications student who is graduating this year (2020).
