Organised by Enterprise Nation

At Enterprise Nation, we love to champion small businesses across the nation that are consciously making an effort to be sustainable.
About this event
Back in June, we and our partners Aviva and TSB launched the Sustainable Small Business Awards to celebrate what these businesses are achieving.
The awards form part of Plan it with Purpose, a programme that helps owners of small and medium-sized businesses better understand environmental and social issues in the UK. We're on the hunt to find those small businesses that are making a difference.
With that in mind, we’re delighted to hold this awards event, where we’ll hear from keynote speaker Amanda Mackenzie OBE. Amanda is CEO of Business in the Community and will talk about ways to overcome challenges in business.
Later, we’ll announce the winners of the Sustainable Small Business Awards 2022. We’ve had a huge number of entries and the quality for each of the five awards categories has been exceptional.

More about our speaker:
Amanda Mackenzie OBE is chief executive of Business in the Community (BITC), which aims to create healthy communities with successful businesses at their heart.
Before she joined BITC, Amanda was a member of Aviva’s Group Executive and spent over eight years as chief marketing officer. While at Aviva, she helped launch the United Nations (UN) Global Goals (also known as the sustainable development goals or SDGs) as executive advisor to Project Everyone – a UN campaign co-founded by Richard Curtis.
Amanda has over 25 years of commercial experience, including director roles at British Airways Airmiles, BT and British Gas. As well as being a non-executive director of Lloyds Banking Group, chairing the responsible business committee, she’s a Life Fellow of the RSA and a Fellow and former President of the Marketing Society.
