This poetry course is about finding your voice through writing or speaking, and meeting other people who share this interest. You’ll explore the political and the personal, covering topics such as identity and social justice, and draw on your own experiences and perspective on life. You don’t need any particular writing experience or knowledge of politics to get something from this project, all you need is to come with an interest in writing and a willingness to learn.

Over the 8 weeks, you’ll be guided through creative exercises that get you thinking, feeling and expressing yourself through writing or spoken word. Whether you feel more confident in speaking or writing, our tutor will work with you to build your skills in both, in a respectful and supportive space.
