Organised by Full Lips The Podcast
Full Lips the Podcast presents: Queer Black Boy Yoga.
Set in the unspoilt grounds of Beckenham Place Park Mansion, this is the perfect sanctuary for queer black men to detoxify their mind, body and spirit through the practices of yoga and still life drawing.
The morning will start with a silent walk through the park bringing you closer to nature. The silent walk sets the tone of the event as each step will bring your body closer to a state of calm.
Shortly after you will be taken into the mansion for a one hour yoga class where your instructor Gerrard Martin will guide you through a series of movements and postures to help you release and renew. The class is suitable for everyone, including beginners.
The day will close with a still life drawing class hosted by Life In Still Life Drawing. Listening to the soothing sounds of neo soul and jazz, you will have the opportunity to draw a queer black male model amongst various props such as plants, ornaments and fruit.
This is a special opportunity for queer black men to understand the true essence and vitality of self-care and wellness that will nourish you on all levels. It’s the perfect day to unwind and be free without any judgement.
We have taken special care to ensure that those holding the workshops are black queer men or LGBTQ friendly and we can’t wait to welcome you!
*The silent walk will start at 10:00am but the main event will start at 10:30am*
