How do Black communities in the UK navigate the preservation of traditional arts and education practices?
Join us for the first Preservation Long Table event, holding space and conversation with local communities and some of the UK’s leading culture-changing Arts & Education practitioners to discuss the past, present, and future of arts and education practices for Black communities in the UK.
Pioneered by practitioner and activist Lois Weaver, the long table is a dinner-party format where conversation is the only course. Everyone in the room has the power and imperative to shift the direction of conversation, to mediate moments of tension and to make space for voices less easily heard.
