We are seeking a passionate, ambitious and highly motivated Buying & Wholesale Manager to lead the growth and expansion of our exciting new fashion start-up, Pixie & Peach! In this role, you will play an
integral part in driving sales growth while building and managing wholesale accounts from the ground up, ensuring seamless operations from product development to final delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the fashion industry, market trends, and consumer demands, along with exceptional negotiation and communication skills to forge lasting partnerships. The successful candidate will preferably leverage an established network of industry contacts to drive success and bring immediate value to the role.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Brand Growth:
  • Take full ownership of the buying and wholesale department, proactively driving and implementing brand strategies to ensure the most efficient workflows.
  • Partner with the Creative Director to steer the brand's strategic expansion, making pivotal leadership decisions across buying and wholesale to optimize growth and profitability.
Sales & Profitability:
  • Establish a pricing architecture that aligns with the brand’s market positioning.
  • Lead weekly trade meetings, presenting sales performance reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and confidently feedback on market demands, risks and opportunities, using data-driven insights to maximize sales and profitability.
Buying Management:
  • Take full ownership of the critical path & buying calendars working closely with the design & technical to ensure factory timelines are met.
  • Work closely with the creative director to deliver innovative commercial ranges.
  • Manage purchase orders/ buy sheets, ensuring timely delivery and optimal stock levels.
  • Oversee finalisation of quantities and size breakdowns.

  • Regularly profile customers through sales analysis and feedback, sharing these insights to inform business strategies. Wholesale Management:
  • Take complete responsibility for and lead the wholesale business for the brand.
  • Identify, secure, and develop new wholesale opportunities to expand market reach.
  • Attend client meetings to introduce the brand and establish new UK and EU wholesale partnerships.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with wholesale clients.
  • Manage the entire wholesale end to end process, including negotiation, confirming quantities, pricing, size breakdowns, logistics and delivery schedules.
  • Utilise the company’s marketing and social media platforms by contributing innovative ideas and strategies aimed at driving the growth and expansion of the wholesale business.
  • Attend tradeshows to enhance brand visibility and generate new wholesale opportunities.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
• You will have substantial experience in buying or wholesale roles, ideally at a senior level, or be an accomplished professional ready to advance to this role.
• An individual who has the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results.
• Outstanding knowledge of the industry with ability to identify trends and commercial awareness.
• Strong, clear, and competent communication skills, excellent numerical and data analysis.
• Confidence, self-motivation and tenacity are essential.
• Strong business acumen

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Buying, Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
  • Extensive Buying or wholesale experience within the fashion industry.
  • Strong understanding of retail and wholesale dynamics, market trends, and the fashion landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
