THE POSITION: Character Animator

LOCATION: 133 Whitechapel High Street, London, E1 7QA. Flexible working - averaging minimum 2 days / week in the office.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Character Animator to join our team. This role requires creativity, technical skill, and a strong understanding of storytelling and character development, for a global client. The Character Animator will bring characters to life through expressive movement, personality, and emotion, creating engaging and memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Create high-quality character animations that align with the client’s creative vision.
Collaborate closely with photographers, creative directors, retouchers, animators, and other creative team members to produce visually compelling and photorealistic assets.
Use your expertise to animate and enhance assets, ensuring character integrity and brand consistency.
Maintain consistency and quality in lighting, textures, and materials, with a strong focus on realism.
Manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines and client expectations.
Help build robust workflows and libraries of tools.
Requirements
Proven experience with character animation for a global client, or related field.
Advanced skills Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects).
Experience working with photorealistic compositions, with a strong understanding of texture, lighting, colour theory, and composition. Deep understanding of gravity, anatomy, and fluidity to bring characters to life with realism and energy.
Ability to work with hair, fur, and other complex textures..
An impressive portfolio showcasing globally recognised animated projects, with focus on characters and narratives.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, translating creative direction into final deliverables.
Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work within a style guide and adapt to the defined style while still bringing a unique touch.
