Position Overview

We are seeking a Front End Developer (and Designer) Intern to join our talented, close-knit team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects, enhance your technical and design skills, and gain valuable industry experience in a collaborative setting. You will work directly with our development teams, taking on responsibilities that support our digital presence and app projects, and have the chance to contribute creatively to our initiatives with a strong focus on UI/UX design.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Maintain Web Interfaces: Create responsive and visually appealing web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
UI/UX Design Collaboration: Partner with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into functional, user-friendly interfaces.
Design Implementation: Assist in designing user interfaces that enhance the user experience, ensuring consistency with Junco Films’ brand identity.
Collaborate Closely with Team Members: Work alongside UI/UX designers and back-end developers in a small team environment to implement seamless user experiences.
Optimize Performance: Ensure websites are fast, scalable, and optimized for various devices and browsers.
Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify and resolve front-end issues to maintain high-quality standards.
Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest front-end and UI/UX technologies and industry trends to bring innovative solutions to the team.
Contribute to Projects: Assist in the development of new features and functionalities for Junco Films’ digital platforms, taking on a variety of tasks that may span multiple aspects of front-end development and design.

Qualifications:

Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and design methodologies.

Design Skills:

Experience with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch) is highly desirable.
Ability to translate design concepts into functional interfaces.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, thriving in a small team setting.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.

Bonus Points:

Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma).
APIs and Django framework
