General People are looking for a talented Marketing & Social Media Executive to join our growing team. General People is a new workspace operating company, that creates and manages several new innovative co-working and maker space hubs across London's creative neighbourhoods. Forever re-imagining spaces we already know. Delivering not only fantastic buildings but also meaningful social change.


Key responsibilities:

Marketing and communications
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with our business goals, focusing on both short-term initiatives and long-term growth.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and traditional advertising.
  • Oversee paid social campaigns, ensuring they are creative, targeted, and effective in reaching desired audiences and achieving ROI goals.
  • Prepare and present reports on campaign performance, including key metrics, insights, and recommendations for optimisation.
  • Develop briefs for third-party partners to commission relevant assets and imagery, tracking budgets effectively.



Brand and Social Media
  • Copywriting for a variety of mediums, including submissions, press releases, brochures, social media, and our website, always maintaining the brand's tone of voice.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices to drive engagement and ROI for clients.
  • Working closely with the Managing Director and team to drive, support, and manage our social media campaigns.
  • Website Management.



Skills and Experience
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently, prioritising key tasks.
  • Excellent literacy, writing and editing skills.
  • Strong content generation skills with a keen eye for design and detail (including proofreading, quality checking, imagery and visual assets).
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to coordinate people effectively and efficiently.
  • Reliable, hard-working and flexible.


Working closely with the Managing Director and team, the ideal candidate is responsible for leading, driving, and supporting General People’s communications and marketing initiatives.
