As a reporter on the Mobile team, you will research, write and break news to large digital audiences – working on some of the biggest stories of the UK’s news agenda. Your keen eye for a top line, diligent newsgathering and high standards of journalism will be crucial to helping
Sky News stay at the front of the UK and world news – and you will be at the heart of this operation.
Whether it’s stories about the Royal Family, the war in Ukraine, the political events of the day, high-profile court cases, or live events such as the coronation, you will spot top lines and write about them with flair and speed.

Research, write and produce stories and original journalism.

Work both independently and as part of a team.
You may be asked to work with the live blogging team on occasion.
A first-class journalist with a track record of finding, writing and producing stories to a high standard for recognised news organisations – whether national or local.
Experienced in handling breaking news scenarios.
NCTJ-trained (or equivalent).
Very well-versed in media law.
Able to produce clean, engaging copy at pace and under pressure.
Willing to adjust your work patterns when events require.
