Description

What we're looking for.

We’re a creative partner to the world’s most ambitious and progressive founders, and our team needs to reflect that mindset.
We like to work with mavericks. Wild cards. Brilliant, empathetic, creative thinkers. Talented and proactive individuals who are comfortable enough to be independent, but humble enough to know they don’t know it all and are willing to keep learning. You’ll also be up for tackling the mundane and challenging essential tasks, as well as the more exciting ones. And be willing to step outside of your outlined role from time to time to help the wider team.

Who you are.

You’re the kind of person who is a:
Planner:  You always have a contingency. You are highly organised and can keep track of multiple projects at once without letting the ball drop. Ultimately, the team can rely on you to be on top of everything.
Problem-solver: when things don’t go to plan, you can think on your feet and calmly figure things out. You know how to pivot and adapt to last minute changes.
Team-player:  You can burrow off and work independently but know how to rally and manage a team, and foster a positive, creative and enabling environment; be it on set or back in the office.
Great Communicator: Be it internally or in conversations with clients, you’re confident enough to articulate your thoughts without offending, positively contribute to conversations and persuade others to see things your way. Hearing from those with different life experiences to our own is important.
Passionate: You’d enjoy being in this world even if you weren’t paid (not that we’re not paying you)

The Role.

As an FM Producer, you’ll oversee the planning, organising and management of our productions, from social content shoots to TVCs.  You’ll work closely with the Production Team and report to our Co-Founder and Production Director. However, you will also collaborate with the wider Founders Makers Team too.
Day-to-day, you will oversee our photography and video productions from start to finish. Monitoring and managing the pre-production, production and post-production stages to ensure we stick to our processes, timelines and budgets; and produce high quality work at the end of the day. Along the way, you’ll generate production briefs, casting calls, schedules, call sheets and project status updates to keep everyone in check. And will lead washups at the end of each production, to ensure we constantly learn, tweak how we do things and get better.
As a side hustle, you’ll also be in charge of building up our black book of exciting talent. There for us to tap in to when needed and help keep us relevant. In the world of Production, you’re only as good as those around you. So you will need to be resourceful, and have a network or the ability to secure talent, locations, crew and equipment quickly.

Skills & Experience.

  • 2+ year of creative agency or production house experience in the commercial and social space. Experience in content creation for social media is a must (and something we’ll want you to prove). The role would be ideal for someone who is currently a junior and is looking for that next step up.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating roles and responsibilities on projects.
  • Experience leading creative teams and working collaboratively across different departments. Handling their own responsibilities while being able to offer a helping hand and creative opinion to our in-house photographers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate creative ideas and visions clearly.
  • A proactive, solutions-based approach to creative challenges.
  • A project manager who can multitask and keep projects on track, on time, and on budget while maintaining the creative vision.
  • A social native who spends a healthy amount of time perusing. But broadening the mind rather than mashing it. A major part of the role is knowing how to connect with audiences online and feeding that knowledge into the wider team.
  • A partner to clients, helping them deliver on their objectives, while ensuring the process is a professional mix of enjoyment and efficiency.
