We are looking for a Programming Producer to join the National Theatre Digital Team on a 15-month Fixed Term Contract.
The purpose of the role
The Programming Producer works closely with the Senior Programming Producer and Assistant Producers to deliver the programme for the National’s digital activity, including NT Live, NT at Home, NT Collection and other digital distribution opportunities.
They ensure strong relationships with internal NT departments, co-producers and agents, including successful contract negotiation and the timely administration of all projects. They will oversee contracting of co-producers, artists, show staff, stage management and licencing commercial music, images, and any other third-party rights as required. This role is also responsible for the line management of an Assistant Producer.
The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Extensive experience producing in theatre.
  • Experience in contract negotiation.
  • Knowledge and passion for theatre and interest in digital distribution.
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills with the ability to deal calmly, confidently and personably with people at all levels over the phone, via email, in person and on video-call, including being confident in managing expectations of stakeholders.
  • Experience in line management or managing a team.
