We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Colourist to join The Mill, London. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. As well as a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of colour theory, and extensive experience with industry-standard colour grading software.
As a Senior Colourist, you will work closely with directors, cinematographers, agencies and clients ensuring that the final product not only meets but aims to exceed expectations.
You will also be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, working alongside the Colour and VFX Producers across our global offices to manage workflows, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in colour grading. The successful candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their work on various types of projects, including feature films, commercials, music videos, and documentaries.
Execute colour grading tasks using Baselight software.
Assist with developing the look of a sequence with the clients and director.
Maintain the departments best working practice.
Explore and recommend new colour grading techniques when appropriate.
Proven and demonstrable experience in high-end colour grading process, ideally on advertising projects.
In-depth knowledge of colour grading techniques, and workflow.
In-depth knowledge of the workflow between VFX & Colour
Thorough understanding of most up-to-date colour grading techniques and technologies.
Proactive in picking up nuance of colour and a keen eye for what is needed on a per shot and per project basis.
Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
