About the role

You will work closely with the wider SEHP team to provide marketing and communications support to the team to help meet our delivery priorities.As Senior Communications Executive for the Scottish Empty Homes Partnership (SEHP), you will create a marketing and communications plan for the partnership to meet our outcomes for Phase 2.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Planning
  • Develop  key messaging for SEHP.
  • Develop a Marketing Communications plan for the partnership based on key moments.
  • Support the team with delivery of the Marketing Communications plan.Support the SEHP Advice Service in developing and implementing a marketing plan for their service.
Communications
  • Provide an SEHP media function
o   Responding to requests for media comment
o   Generating articles about the benefits of bringing empty homes back into use
o   Working with Empty Homes Officers to support them to engage with their media teams.
  • Work with colleagues within the Shelter Scotland Communication and Advocacy team for consistency of messaging on empty homes.
Digital and data:
  • Keeping content on the SEHP website up to date
  • A calendar of regular social media content to keep SEHP visible.
  • Scoping out the commissioning of a website rebuild.
  • Provide analytics on all activities to enable data driven decision making.
Marketing support:
  • Manage use of SEHP brand.
  • Managing external agencies to commission:
o multimedia and print content as required.
o   marketing campaigns to promote the service
o   proactive media at times of high workload
o   additional digital support as required
  • Support with SEHP Conference (i.e. conference booking and sponsorships).
About you
Essential skills for the role
  • Experience in a Communications or Marketing role and used to working with the media in Scotland.
  • Experience of working with external agencies.
  • Comfortable commissioning and developing multimedia content.
  • Experience of some social media content delivery across a range of platforms and audiences.
  • Experience of Project Management
Desirable – mentoring can be provided.
  • Experience of using a Content Management System.
  • Experience of working with data.
  • Experience of planning.
