About the role:
We're seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to elevate our function by crafting best-in-class financial models that empower senior leadership to make informed, confident decisions. You’ll be at the forefront of driving strategic decision-making across multiple business areas at Tide. The financial models you build will serve as part of the foundation for key business initiatives, providing senior leadership with the insights they need to steer the company towards success.
Tide is growing at a phenomenal rate, and as such the Finance team is expanding and continually seeking to improve the Finance function. We’re looking to build a best-in-class financial platform at Tide, and the Finance Team is no different, seeking to build a best-in-class Finance/FP&A function.  You will play a pivotal role in that journey, providing expertise in helping to develop new processes through seeking automation opportunities every step of the way.
As a Senior FP&A Analyst you’ll be:
  • Building budgets and financial forecasts as part of the quarterly re-forecasting and yearly budgeting cycle
  • Building, updating and monitoring sophisticated financial models for a range of uses: multi year financial forecasts, scenario and sensitivity analyses, business case review, return on investment analysis, workforce planning, etc
  • Implementing processes/financial models in order to run Rolling Forecasts
  • Working with Commercial and Budget Owners to update, monitor, and improve Management Reports and financial models
  • Working with the FP&A, Financial Control and Treasury teams to automate processes across Finance
  • Working with the Finance team to complete the monthly close and management reporting process
  • Business partnering – working closely with the budget owners to monitor financial performance, provide insights to drive improved financial performance, and seek revenue/cost/margin optimisation opportunities and efficiencies
  • Ad-hoc projects
What makes you a great fit:
  • You are a qualified accountant or working towards a designation (ACA / ACCA / CIMA equivalent)
  • You have high proficiency and deep knowledge of complex Excel/Gsheet financial modelling techniques
  • You are confidently able to produce data driven, insightful, and cleanly formatted financial models that follow best practice design/presentation principles
  • You are proficient in SQL and/or Python and/or Access and have solid experience automating processes
  • You have solid systems ability, in particular knowledge of FP&A systems including AnaPlan or equivalent experience in other FP&A systems
  • You are data driven in everything you do
  • You have a proven track record with process improvements
  • You are confident dealing with senior stakeholders across the business and owning your work with minimal hands-on management
  • You are proactive & solution focused with exceptionally high attention to detail and sound analytical skills
  • You have outstanding organisational and prioritisation skills including the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • You thrive in fast paced working environments
  • You have a minimum of five years’ relevant / transferable experience
  • You are personable and able to build trusting work relationships
  • You may also have experience with key accounting software implementation, such as an ERP system or ‘Best in class’ core finance platforms with integration to HR and financial planning systems
  • You may also have experience working at a fintech in Credit and/or Payments sectors
