  • Use audience metrics and knowledge of the market to continually develop the newsletters, including the launch of new content formats.
  • Work to implement email engagement and personalisation techniques to increase loyalty.
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with colleagues in the wider BBC.
  • Act as an ambassador by communicating best newsletter practices between teams.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
  • To be able to oversee newsletter content, you will need to be an experienced digital journalist with a high standard of editorial judgment.
  • You will also be able to demonstrate experience in commissioning, producing and writing digital content with flair.
  • Confidence when working with correspondents and journalists to deliver interesting, original and well-written copy.
  • A rich appreciation of the newsletter market and a thorough understanding of audience metrics in this field.
  • Ideas for how to make BBC output relevant to a North American newsletter audience.
  • Experience of taking editorial decisions quickly and independently while under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • You will need to show resilience, experience of collaborating well and an ability to oversee a number of different priorities at the same time.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams, plus show flexibility and adaptability to sustain performance.
