Job Summary:
We're seeking a skilled full stack developer to service our International Media Application portfolio in APAC and EMEA overseeing all aspects of application development lifecycle from concept to delivery. In this role, you'll have the unique opportunity to make a significant impact within Disney by collaborating with Business, Product and Technical teams in developing best in class broadcast related applications. Skill/knowledge in a given functional field
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design and develop highly scalable software systems and applications.
  • Manage and undertake pre-release testing of developed applications.
  • Maintain design documentation to facilitate QA and Technical Support Handover functions.
  • Participate in conceiving and setting the architectural direction for development technical stacks and related backend components.
  • SME with regards application builds and "go-to" person for less experienced developers, providing technical mentorship and oversight.
  • Adhere to Disney Infosec policies with regards application builds and integration.
  • Recommends improvements to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the efficiency of the application and team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • At least 6 years + experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume applications.
  • Experience in Java development and application management.
  • Experience designing APIs, Webservices from scratch as well as designing APIs that extend existing frameworks while maintaining established patterns and architecture.
  • Expertise in HTTPS and REST web services, and standard methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge and experience of managing, orchestrating, and monitoring distributed production systems.
  • Git repository and CI-CD pipeline.
  • Technical skills:- Spring Boot, Angular-17, Hibernate, Microservices, REST API, MySQL, MS-SQL, ORACLE, No-SQL, MVC.
  • Additional scripting language:- DotNet core 6/7.
  • Tracking tool:- Jira.
  • Documentation:- Confluence Web Page.
  • AWS Services:- AWS-LAMBDA, ECS, S3, EC2, Application Load balancer, RDS, SNS, API Gateway, AWS-CICD, etc.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
  • Hands-on experience in Java SE 11 and above, Apache CXF.
  • Hands-on experience in Tomcat 8 and above.
  • Hands-on experience in application hosting on AWS.
  • Good to have experience in Dell Boomi Integration Tool.
  • Experience in Media file processing and Media industry knowledge.
Education
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field/work experience.
