A Software Engineer with experience in Javascript, React/NextJS, Node .js, AWS & TDD. You'll be joining our Consumer Tribe, working in the subscription experience domain squad with the focus primarily on enhancing the payment and subscription experiences of our customers.
We organise ourselves into cross-functional squads, with each squad working together on a common goal. This role will be a part of our Subscription experience domain squad consisting of an Engineering Manger, Technical Lead engineer, a DevOps Engineer, QA Engineer & Product/Customer Experience Manager.
You will work in a self-organising team in our product ecosystem providing technical development skills (React/Next/Node/AWS) within the squad, co-solutioning and getting hands-on implementing the solutions to help your squad achieve it's goal.
You will be developing and maintaining in-depth technical knowledge of our payment domain, particularly around subscription models, payment processing, billing cycles and customer account management.
You will contribute to the design and code base of React & NextJS front-end web applications, serverless NodeJS back-end applications and distributed AWS cloud systems. Within your squad you'll bring these solutions to life, writing high-quality code utilising test-driven development (Jest /Cypress), continuous integration (AWS) and code review (GitHub).
Help troubleshooting and resolving any payment-related technical issues reported by customers, collaborating closely with the Customer Support team to provide timely solutions.
Partner with other engineering teams, product managers, and designers to align on requirements and deliver high-quality features that enhance our customer subscription experience.
You and your cross-functional squad will look after application features from inception to production working with customers and business stakeholders to bring them to life and support them in production.
It’s the perfect role for you if you have:
Experience in implementing web applications using Javascript, React/NextJS, Node .js, Typescript, HTML & CSS
An understanding of architectural practices including: Microservices, REST, object-oriented & functional programming, relational database design and NOSQL databases.
Experience working with Cloud computing providers (AWS).
Experience working in an Agile environment with Test Driven Development, CI/CD
Experience working with Stripe Payment Gateway or similar payment processing platforms.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues in payment processing and subscription flows.
A passion for improving customer experiences and a deep understanding of the impact of payment processes on user satisfaction.
Years of commercial experience as a software engineer
Experience working with non-technical stakeholders and the ability to boil down complex technical problems and make them easy to understand.

The salary range for this role is £58,000 - £65,000 + share options
