Twilio Segment is expanding its documentation team and seeking a Technical Writer to help elevate our documentation to the next level. In this role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end documentation process, from initial concept to development and publication.
Reporting to the manager of the Segment documentation team, you'll play a vital role in supporting Segment's growth by ensuring our customers have the resources they need to successfully integrate and utilize our platform.
Write documentation for a specific product area or pillar, guiding content development from start to finish.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of product functionality within your area of responsibility.
Conduct interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation.
Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of internal stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, designers, and UX researchers.
Review and provide feedback on documentation contributed by both internal and external partners.

1+ years of experience as a technical writer, preferably for enterprise SaaS products.
Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of producing error-free documentation.
Skilled at transforming complex technical details into concise, user-friendly documentation.
Proven capacity to work cross-functionally and build productive working relationships with teams and stakeholders.
Curiosity that drives deep exploration of specific topics while maintaining a broad subject area understanding.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple writing projects.
Experience working with Markdown, Git, and GitHub in a docs-as-code environment.
Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience with Unix/Linux, and the command line.
Experience with agile development processes and tools like Jira.
This role will be remote and based in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
