23 Code Street is a coding school on a mission to equip more women and non-binary people with the digital skills they need to succeed in the technology sector. For every paying student in London, we teach digital skills to an underprivileged woman in India. We offer evening and online courses designed to give women looking to switch careers or advance their career trajectories the flexibility they need to learn part-time. Our web development courses provide training in the skills needed to build websites, including HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and JQuery. Throughout the course, we enforce best practices in order for students to become the best possible developers. Our Web Development foundation course covers Git and Github, pair programming, clean code, responsive design, and accessible development. Students learn the skills to build web applications, discuss code confidently, problem-solve, and explore familiar and unfamiliar programming languages. At 23 Code Street, we believe in a strong community and lifelong support from their network of alumni, teachers, and mentors. After students finish the course, we offer a 2-week internship placement to gain hands-on experience in the technology industry. We believe diversity breeds innovation, and currently, the worlds of technology and business lack sufficient representation across gender, diversity, class, and religion.
