He grew up in South Jersey and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Villanova University. From there, he attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at Drexel University College of Medicine / Hahnemann University Hospital, where he also served as Chief Cardiology fellow.
