About

184 Nasty Women artists m/f from 27 countries, 240 artworks from € 1 – € 200. During the exhibition and auction €16.000 ($17,000) was raised. This is the London sister of Nasty Women NYC, a group exhibition that serves to demonstrate solidarity among artists who identify with being a Nasty Woman in the face of threats to roll back women’s rights, individual rights, and abortion rights. London Nasty Women will be supporting Rape Crisis and Women For Women charities. Nasty Women NYC was started by Roxanne Jackson and Jessamyn Fiore with a Facebook post that read: Hello female artists/curators! Lets organize a NASTY WOMEN group show!!! Who’s interested??? It was Paige Megan Hawley who is the founder of NWL, and has organised this exhibition from the heart. Paige and the Nasty Women London team are working alongside Creative Debuts, where the exhibition will take place at the Black and White Building, Shoreditch. Creative Debuts have a mission to promote emerging artists, we are working alongside to not just promote nasty women artists, but to raise awareness for a great cause. This is a fantastic opportunity for feminist artists and those who serve to demonstrate solidarity among artists who identify with being a Nasty Woman.
