Nencini Architetti

Award winning architecture practice based Italy

About

The Nencini architectural practice was founded in Pisa in 1950 by its founder Prof. Arch. Gaetano Nencini, a prominent figure in the post-war Tuscan architecture of which he left a strong and widespread sign; a clever professional who belonged to that generation of serious architects and pragmatically immersed in his work. There are many works performed between public buildings, private residential, commercial, urban, sports, as well as the difficult and delicate task of restoring and recovering important monumental complexes. He has been the winner of many awards including the Inarch Prize in 1989 for the construction of the Sinopie Museum in Pisa. In 1987, after a sudden and premature death, his son Luca born in Pisa in 1960 and graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Florence in 1986 took over the practice. Luca Nencini, since 1988, has been working in the father's studio in Pisa, in the private and public sectors, dealing with restoration, renovation, new buildings, residential, hotel and interior design. Most of his works have been published in national magazines and exhibited in Italian thematic exhibitions. He has been chairing various nature conferences on work experiences in the world of recovery and reuse of construction. Today, the philosophy of the studio is to provide its customers with an integrated service that includes all the skills they need to complete the entire project. Studio Nencini Architetti uses a staff of collaborators and professionals specialising in specific areas of high quality in the structural, energy, hydraulic, electrical, bio-building, thermal acoustics and building site safety as well as testing and accounting. For over 70 years the Nencini firm has been operating throughout Tuscany and central and northern Italy and has received considerable and important awards. Today the Studio has started its third generation with Gianluca Nencini which has been working in London since 2013. He has recently founded Nenmar the international branch of our Italian firm.
