Wedel Art, an art advisory and curatorial firm with special expertise in Modern and Contemporary, is looking for an intern to assist with art and exhibition projects, research, social media, sales offers, data management and help in the day-to-day running of the business. We work with private and corporate clients on their collections, exhibition programmes, special projects and philanthropy, as well as curating exhibitions and artist projects internationally. We are looking for someone who is detail orientated with a passion for modern and contemporary art and a keen interest in being involved in a small structure and fast-paced environment. The selected candidate would be working on the following: • Presentations for clients and potential projects: artist research, sourcing images, writing texts, etc; • Assisting in the daily running of the business: databases maintenance, research, social media strategies. Person Specification: • Fluency in English • Excellent writing skills • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a small team • Excellent use of basic computer programs/softwares such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Keynote • Experience with database management • Dynamic, with the ability to work under pressure • Self-motivated with a meticulous attention to detail: able to prioritise a varied workload, using initiative to meet deadlines • Proactive and able to help with daily administrative duties • Experience with research of contemporary art: specific art works, artists, movements, etc. The successful candidate will be paid a daily stipend.
