A strange family shop in Ostend sold exotic knick-knacks that often featured in James Ensor’s work. Here he lived among towers of masks, colourful feathers, tacky porcelain figurines, enormous shells and surreal objects. In this piece audience were able to explore a turn-of-the-century curiosity shop and if they looked hard enough were lead to uncover the hidden haunt of a mysterious fortune teller.
