- Sam Hodge at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2019We are delighted to announce that Sam Hodge's print Pelagic Plastic 1, is included in the 2019 Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition. The work has been selected by Barbara Rae RA and Hughie O'Donoghue RA and is displayed under the theme Fragility of the Natural World in Room V. In her new series of polymer prints Hodge is expressing her concerns about the destruction of our natural habitats. - RA MagazineRA Magazine is delivered quarterly to the 100,000+ Friends of the Royal Academy of Arts. As deputy editor (2018–19), I managed the day-to-day challenges of the magazine while working closely with the editor, Sam Phillips, to commission and edit articles that best represented the exuberance and ideas of the artists and exhibitions that make up the core of the RA. - Humphrey Ocean MonographIn 2019 Humphrey Ocean released a 335 page monograph published by Royal Academy of Arts. The book includes work from 1975 to the present day and is categorised into seven chapters: canvas, sculpture, paper, Dot Books, A handbook of modern life, print and sketchbooks. The book opens with an essay written by Ben Thomas and concludes with a comprehensive chronology. I worked with Humphrey to create the chronology, page captions and index for the book as well as proofreading copy in full. The public

This book is the first to present the full range of Morris’s stunning paintings, alongside an insightful essay by Sam Cornish that evaluates the influence and importance of her work, an illustrated chronology, and a preface by the art historian Mel Gooding.
- Royal Art Academy ExhibitionIn August, my work team took a trip out to the The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, held annually since 1768. From paintings and photography to sculptures and architecture, from both emerging and already established contemporary artists; the world’s largest open- submission exhibition showcased it all. Around 12,000 works are selected by a committee of Royal Academicians. Everything seen at the exhibition re ects everything that is happening within the art industry right now. Wandering around the gallery for the afternoon was a perfect method of escapism. I always enjoy the calm, unhurried atmosphere that exists in an exhibition room, accompanied by the echoed footsteps and hushed, appreciative whispers, as others ponder and gaze over the beautiful art in all of its unique forms. The experience is made even better if you switch your phone off, although I simply couldn’t resist taking a few snaps of the inspirational work.
