A Transatlantic Tale

  • Neil Buchan Grant
I was commissioned by Olympus to produce a selection of images which showed the range and quality of their cameras and lenses. I was given a small budget and free reign to do my own thing. I decided to shoot location portraits with a loose narative - a young woman sailing across the Atlantic ocean to find love in The Big Apple. Most of the images were shot on the Queen Mary liner and around Manhattan at Christmas time. The job took two weeks to complete and many of the images were used in the advertising of Olympus products.
