Ace Hotel - TMM

Knot & Pop (my then business) was asked again to concept and curate Ace Hotel’s wedding showcase – Thoroughly Modern Marriage. The event was once again a huge success with over 300 people attending, press coverage secured (including a full page in You & Your Wedding Magazine), and Venue Booking targets excelled. Devising the space, Knot & Pop selected and invited the Suppliers to Showcase and managed the project from concept to completion. Aside from all of the expert Wedding Planning and Inspiration, I wanted to bring focus to the actual Marriage aspect so a Panel Discussion was orchestrated and hosted by Project Love to discuss Love & Marriage with three couples, each at different stages of their marriage. A fully immersive and unique wedding showcase with the best in the industry. The inaugural event took place in 2016 and was a refreshing and alternative wedding showcase, to inspire modern minded couples. The event was about giving a fully immersive, modern and inspiring experience to couples – from the first welcome in the flower lift, to hearing the sounds of the Pop String Quartet, to being seated in an area dressed as if a Ceremony for the Panel Discussion, to 'Find Your Foundation' sessions with Space NK, a Nail Bar with The Painted Lady, full Floristry take over with Worm London, cakes with a difference with edible terrazo tiles from KUF Studios. Dining rooms were styled for the Wedding Breakfast so couples could sit and eat as if at a wedding, with mini mains available to try. Come evening the Ceremony Room then became the Dance room with tunes from The Wedding Smashers and all the fun of the Photobooth.
