About me
I worked for 11 years in Fashion PR & Events, most notably as PR Manager at ASOS during a time of huge growth for the brand. In 2013, I launched my own business, Knot & Pop - an award-winning Wedding & Events company. I enjoyed the highs and lows of running my own business for 6 years and stepped away in 2019 to explore other avenues. What had been my love and passion for an intense 6 years had consumed me fully. I wanted to learn from others again, I wanted to explore more than just the world of weddings, I wanted to push myself in a different direction and take on a new challenge. And I wanted my weekends back! Since 2019 I have therefore been Freelancing as a Creative/Marketing Consultant, working with some wonderful small businesses to finesse their Brand communications, strategy and tactical campagins.

    Salt-Water Sandals At Home CampaignI acted as Art Director and Stylist for this Salt-Water Sandals Campaign. The campaign was done to support the new look site with fresh imagery that could work both for key summer sales months and beyond. I found a wonderful location (never before used) and negotiated a contra-deal across Marketing teams. The imagery was created for use across website, newsletters, social media, and has since been extended across print promotions and digitial marketing assets.

    I have worked with Port Hotel in Eastbourne (19 Bedrooms) since launch. My remit has been extensive - a one man band across PR, Instagram, Web Copy, Blog Content, Printed Material Content, Partnerships, Newsletters and Events, working with a Digital Consultant across sporadic Paid Social activity. Some highlights include: * Securing sizeable features across The Guardian, Elle Decoration, Conde Nast Traveller, Evening Standard, Suitcase and Design Anthology to name a few. * On next-to-no marketing budget growing IG followers from 200 to 14.7K through strategic partnerships and engaging content. * Partnered with the likes of Pai Skincare, Antler, Faith In Nature, Trip Drinks, By Rotation, Cissy Wears, Towner Gallery, King and McGaw and many more. * Implemented onboarding EDM series and monthly Port Picks newsletter franchise with an average open rate of 52.3% and CTR of 5.4%. * Direct bookings are the lead revenue stream, above OTP partnerships.

    Patchwork is a group gift fund platform, with it's lead audience Weddings. Known as being the UK's most innovative alternative Wedding Gift Registry and Honeymoon Fund platform. I initially started work with Patchwork on a Research & Development project to explore the opportunities to launch a sister brand in a separate Market/Industry. In January 2020 I then pivoted to work on their core business, Patchwork. I then played a lead role in Marketing. I assessed the Customer Journey and key drop off points, refined the hierarchy of messages highlighted opportunities, and developed some easy wins. During my time there I implemented: * New Registration process, that tailors the User journey * New Onboarding Funnel and all Content alongside * New Contributor Journey and all Content alongside * New Homepage and key page review * Created a totally new 'My Account' area, working with the in-house Designer and Developer to realise * Improved the Blog layout, working with the Developer to implement * Devised the Marketing 2020 Communication Calendar * Created a tangible tool for Influencer Outreach that worked not only for promotional activities, but also gave Patchwork a product to sell * Created a Partnership Programme and Content for contra-deals to be seeded * Developed Content for Partnerships, liaising with brands to deliver on agreements made
