Action for Trustee Racial Diversity
From Here to Diversity – a practical guide to recruiting Black and Asian charity trustees was designed for Action for Trustee Racial Diversity (ATRD), a volunteer-led group founded in 2019 to campaign on increasing racial diversity on charity Boards.
The Brief
ATRD originally came to OXygen through an existing client of ours, Charity People. Board diversity is a topic that is incredibly important to Charity People and they were delighted therefore to be approached by Malcolm John, Founder of ATRD, to support him in the design of a digital and printed report entitled ‘From here to diversity: A Practical Guide to recruiting Black and Asian charity trustees’.
In partnership with Getting on Board and supported by the Co-op Foundation, the report was created to make a difference by helping to build more representative and inclusive charities, which in turn support and enable stronger communities. Our brief, was to design the report to create impact whilst utilising the existing brand guidelines of both ATRD and Getting on Board, to be easy and engaging to read and to effectively highlight key points, quotes and statistics.
