I wrote and later directed a short film about misogyny and rape at a time in Italy when the law seriously hindered women's rights. A dinner table turns into a courtroom after a lawyer pays an unexpected visit at Judge Casto's family home. She says she needs a reference, but it soon becomes apparent she has an ulterior motive. The Judge has acquitted the three men that raped her client and the lawyer is ready to get justice her own way. What starts as a conversation piece turns into a Shakespearean revenge film with a climax that has left festival audiences around the world jaw-dropped.
