Afrotech Fest 2019
Afrotech Fest is a tech festival by and for Black people of African and Caribbean heritage. It will take between Friday 12 and 14 April 2019 at Rich Mix London. Afrotech Fest is a not-for-profit event and is open to anyone to attend. This is the second Afrotech Fest with the first event taking place in January 2018. Afrotech Fest is a response to the underrepresentation of Black people in the tech industry – especially those who are marginalised in additional ways. We are creating a festival that is intentionally diverse and inclusive of those often excluded.
Provided PR and marketing support for Britain’s first and so far only technology festival run by and for Black people. I led the planning and delivery of the press strategy.
