Around the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, airbnb asked us to promote their new tagline “Belong Anywhere” and tell a story that couldn’t have happened without them.
We didn’t want to tell just a Berlin story but a bigger truth and found it in a true story: Two former guards that met for the first time via airbnb. Their story was about belonging and overcoming inner barriers.
As media was going to be full of documentaries, we decided to bring the story of “Wall and Chain” to life in a completely different way. As an animated film.
