Anne Krinsky: Wetlands Shifting Shorelines, Worthing Seafront Promenade, 29 Oct 2021 - 6 May 2022

Anne Krinsky: Wetlands / Shifting Shorelines was an outdoor print exhibition inspired by vulnerable South Coast wetlands I photographed in 2020 and 2021. I worked with projection, photography and digital print to design this series of 16 prints, part of my larger project about wetlands and climate change in a range of river and coastal locations. For this exhibition, I explored wetlands on the South Coast of England, including Lymington, Keyhaven and Chichester, Pagham and Portsmouth Harbours. I wanted to share my passion for these fragile and beautiful coastal habitats, which are threatened by rising sea levels and pollution. It’s heartbreaking to see the overgrowth of algae, from agricultural runoff and dumping of sewage, that is engulfing South Coast wetlands. Southern Water have continued dumping raw sewage in coastal waters even after being handed a record £90 million fine. Supported by Worthing Borough Council, a bursary from a-n The Artists Information Company and Metro Imaging.
