I work with paint, print, photography and video, to investigate overlooked structures in the natural and lived environments. I am fascinated by the passage of time and by the ephemeral nature of the physical world. I trained as a printmaker, and layering – of ideas, images and media – lies at the heart of my process. Research underpins my practice and I have made installations in response to archived collections in the US, UK and India.
My Tide Line Thames project investigated the river and its architectural structures between high and low tide lines, for London’s Totally Thames Festival. The project culminated in 2017, with a video installation in the Thames Tunnel Shaft of the Brunel Museum and a digital print installation for the Crossrail Place Roof Garden, commissioned by Canary Wharf Arts.
Watching the Thames erode metal, wood and stone, led me to think about coastal communities and intertidal habitats at risk from rising sea levels. Since 2018, I have been working on an international project about vulnerable wetlands and climate change in a range of coastal and river locations. The result of my latest research, in South Coast wetlands in England, was exhibited in 2021 and 2022 in overlapping exhibitions in Worthing, England. Anne Krinsky: Wetlands Shifting Shorelines, an outdoor print installation, was shown on the Worthing Seafront Promenade. Anne Krinsky: Fugitive was on view at the Worthing Museum and Art Gallery.
I am a recipient of an Artists International Development Fund Grant, a-n Artist Bursary and two Grants for the Arts from Arts Council England. The British Museum, Boston Public Library, American collector Graham Gund and U.K. charity, Paintings in Hospitals, have purchased my works, as have numerous corporate and private collectors on both sides of the Atlantic.

- Anne Krinsky: Wetlands Shifting Shorelines, Worthing Seafront Promenade, 29 Oct 2021 - 6 May 2022Anne Krinsky: Wetlands / Shifting Shorelines was an outdoor print exhibition inspired by vulnerable South Coast wetlands I photographed in 2020 and 2021. I worked with projection, photography and digital print to design this series of 16 prints, part of my larger project about wetlands and climate change in a range of river and coastal locations. For this exhibition, I explored wetlands on the South Coast of England, including Lymington, Keyhaven and Chichester, Pagham and Portsmouth Harbours
