Architectural Plains for Ottowin Footwear

As Co-creative Director and Photographer on this shoot, I saw the process of making through from start to finish. I wanted to create an environment that brought the product's hand made qualities to the for: the subtle texture in the leather; the undulations in the stitching; the signs of the maker. To do this I choose to contrast the boots with a colourful but constant plain of simple architectural forms and to create a surrounding world within which the shoes themselves are at once a strong presence and a dark whole in the middle of the image.
