Art Direction for The Wild Muse Journal

This full site redesign was initiated to communicate a powerful sense of brand and story. In preparing for our relaunch, I looked to disparate sources and our original content for inspiration. One idea that I kept returning to was the question of what makes our editorial unique. Looking to the stories and interviews we have gathered over the years, it was the sense of evocative visuals coupled with a premium online editorial experience that I kept returning to. As such, designs were drafted to balance text and image, and artistic elements such as hand-drawn effects were added to enhance the sense of connection with the words on the page. This site was created in collaboration with designer Corina Nika.
